UPDATE:  WE HAVE HAD AN OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF INTEREST IN MARSHMALLOW; BOTH PRE-ADOPTION APPLICATIONS AS WELL AS INQUIRIES!  Our goal is the best match.  We are going through Pre-Adoption Applications first and then any inquiries that have valid questions about Marshallow that are not already answered in her online profile.  NOTE:  Marshmallow will be placed in a local furever home in the Dallas/Ft Worth, TX area.  Thank you for your patience.

Marshmallow has had a rough time of it, but all the bad stuff is behind her now and she is ready to move on with her life, and we know it is going to be a wonderful one! She is one of the sweetest dogs you will meet and she very much wants to please you. She is extremely playful; both with her toys when she is by herself and also when she is with the pack of dogs she currently lives with. She loves to run and chase after them and engages all of them to play with her. One of her favorite things is playing ball (she will actually bring it back to you.) When Marshmallow came to the rescue she was high heartworm positive and had to endure two rounds of treatments, but she is now heartworm free and happy to have her life back. She was 2 years old in July and currently weighs 11 lbs. Marshmallow is a little slow to trust new people so it takes some time for her to warm up.  She is so joyful....we don’t know a better word to describe her. Sometimes she runs so fast in the yard that it looks like she is hopping....it’s the cutest thing to watch. She has a loving personality and will cuddle beside you. She is crate trained and doing very well with her house training, I think she will be perfect once she is in an established routine in her new home. (She knows how to use a doggy door too.) We believe she is a Westie mix...her fur is white except for a little bit of light brown on the tops of both ears so we like to say her ears are slightly toasted! She has the cutest little short legs but they don’t slow her down at all.
