How Do I Go About Adopting From DFW Pup Patrol?

Our goal is the best match for a pup and his/her furever family!

Our adoptable rescue pups receive (at a minimum):

  • distemper/parvo/vaccination(s)
  • bordatella vaccination(s)
  • rabies vaccination
  • spay/neuter
  • heartworm test (pups 6 months and older) and heartworm treatment if tested positive
  • monthly heartworm prevention
  • fecal test and/or deworming
  • microchipping

Regardless of what we put into a pup, all pups 6 months and older have the same requested adoption donation of $250all puppies younger than 6 months have a requested adoption donation of $350 ; all include the above services as a minimum under our Adoption Contract.  If interested in one of our available pups, please submit our no obligation Pre-Adoption Application for consideration.  This information helps us determine if a pup and a family/individual is a potential match.  Click here, Pre-Adoption Application, to fill out and submit online.

Upon approval of your application, our adoption process includes a meet & greet/home visit, and if all parties are on board then a 72-hour trial adoption period can begin.  To give you possession of a pup we will ask you to fill out our Adoption Contract and submit the adoption fee which we will hold for the trial period.  At the end of the trial, if BOTH the organization and the applicant are still in agreement that it's a good match, then the adoption will be finalized (with the understanding that any outstanding vetting covered under the Adoption Contract will be coordinated with one of our organization's approved veterinarians), and the adopter will receive a copy of the pup's medical records and a copy of the executed Adoption Contract.

Should there ever be any problems, questions, etc., with your new family member, we will do everything we can to assist.
