Misty is a tan and white 5 year old female Chihuahua. She weighs about 8 pounds. Her story is that she and two other dogs had a home with a gentleman who was put in a nursing home. His son, to his credit, went to work with rescue groups to rehome the 3 dogs. Two of Misty's siblings went to another rescue and Misty came to DFW Pup Patrol. She is housebroken and crate trained. She loves to be where her human is. She sleeps in the bed at night and it will take patience if her new family wants her to sleep crated or in a bed of her own. She is not a picky eater and is doing well on standard kibble with a few tablespoons of canned food. She has been around a few young children and it appears that she will do well as long as they are kind to her, not poking or pulling at her. She gets along with cats. She is learning to play, showing mild interest in chasing a small tennis ball. She is not a vigorous player with other dogs, however she gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and genders. She can be very nervous in busy, loud environments and is a bit shy with new people, but once she warms up Misty will be a sweet and faithful addition to her new family.
