Sweet Patch is estimated to have been born in 08/2014 and we believe is a Red Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix pup.  He weighs approximately 50 lbs. He was found roaming the streets of Ft. Worth and brought to the shelter. He was microchipped and his owners were contacted, but did not want him anymore because they did not have time for a dog. DFW Pup Patrol rescued this sweet baby and Patch is now looking to find a new home where he will be valued and loved forever.

Patch has a very super sweet disposition and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He was walked past cat crates when leaving the shelter and he did not pay any attention to them; however, we have not confirmed how he interacts with them. Since Patch is still so young, he still has puppy tendencies and at times jumps up out of excitement to see and be around people. Patch just needs a committed family who has the time and patience to give him some guidance, teaching him rules and boundaries and basic commands.  He appears to be housebroken, but should still be given potty breaks often since he is still young.

If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please request a Pre-Adoption Application via email at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  General questions about a particular pup or our adoption process can also be sent to the same email address.  All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $225, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
