*** Please ask us about our foster with intent to adopt option with this pup! *** Beautiful and highly sought after definitely describes Molly. She is a Goldendoodle who was born in January of 2014 and currently weighs about 50 lbs. This is a very special girl who will require a very special new committed and forever home, so please read about her in entirety before inquiring about meeting/adopting her. Molly will need a relatively calm home environment with adults only, preferably physically active, and must be the only pet. She is extremely sweet, loving, and loyal, but does have some quirks about her and will need some help and patience for awhile. She was in a wonderful foster home, but due to the number of other pets, etc, she unfortunately remained confused and was unable to relax and move forward. As a result she is currently in boarding and will only be able to stay there for a short period of time, otherwise her isolation from enough attention and a home could cause additional behavior problems. Her wonderful former foster mom had the following to say about Molly:
"She is excellent with my 5 year old in many ways. Never bumps him, never chases him even on bike or running around, never jumps on him and is tolerant of his wild activities. If she is on couch or in corner of bedroom and you approach her as though you are asking her to move, even using voice to let her know your are coming and be sure she is not sleeping, about 4 times in her time here she has given a warning growl. That is to me, never at him, but he knows not to handle her. We don't want a problem. If a toddler went into her "territory" and she were asleep, there could be a problem. She is not hyper or even "puppy" active, she is totally chill 90% of the time. Her reactions are almost always willing. Awesome recall, great on leash, pleasure in the car (not crated, crated will cause her to get car sick), grooms very well. A little overenthusiastic about treats, but easy to work with.
Honestly she does better, then suddenly it strikes her and she goes into a different mode. No trigger that I see, she will suddenly cross a room to attack a sleeping dog. It is strange, if I were a better handler I think I wood be able to fix. Good news is that it never happens outside, only inside. Crazier is I feed raw, so food is outside, food is not the trigger. She is awesome in every other way, just highly territorial inside.
I am around most of the time, give her doggie door area when I am out. Left her in bedroom for three hours and she pee'd and scratched the door (caused by stress and separation anxiety)."
