*** PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING CALLIE UNTIL SHE CAN FIND HER FUREVER HOME ***

Meet Callie, a beautiful Labradoodle girl who we believe is about 3 to 4 years of age.  She was picked up as a stray on the streets and was in very bad shape.  We rescued her from a local city shelter when no one came to claim her and she was facing being euthanized.  She is on her way to recovery/malnourished and incredibly thin when rescued (started out at 25 lbs, weighs about 39 lbs currently, and she should weigh about 50 lbs).  Her coat was in such bad shape we had no choice but to shave her; however, it is already on it's way to growing back out and she is even more stunning with each passing day! She eats like a champion and is gaining weight quickly! She is sheduled to be spayed in early March after some recovery time when she can handle the surgery.

Miss Callie is very cuddly, sweet, athletic, and loves to play.  She is great with children!

Callie is a dominant/alpha female, so will probably be best as only dog in household or with experienced handler that can help her understand what being part of a pack means.  She was on the streets a very long time apparently.  We do not think Callie should be in a home with kitties.

She enjoys her baths and brushing, sleeps through the night and is quiet in her crate. She has come a long way with her people manners. Instead of charging into her master's space she will now sit and ask for loving and attention. Callie doesn't bark, chew, or get in the trash.  She is crate trained and housetrained. She will be a super companion dog for a special someone or family!
