Chance is a Chow/Golden Retriever mix who is about 2 years old and oh so sweet!  Chance found himself inside the walls of a city kill shelter in Cleburne, TX.  The shelter personnel said he came from a very abusive situation, but only Chance will know for sure what all he’s gone through. He was rescued literally in his final hours, and taken in by one of our fosters.

Chance wanted very badly to give kisses to show his love, but he couldn’t because his mouth would not allow him to do that. His tongue was split in two and his bottom teeth in the front missing. His entire bottom “lip” was detached from his jaw and pushed downwards. He was covered in ticks and fleas.

Despite all Chance’s hard knocks that life has handed to him, his tail never stops wagging, and he looks like he is smiling ALL the time. Thanks to a very dedicated veterinarian, Chance has had 2 corrective surgeries on his bottom lip. His tongue has been reconstructed, and he still drools a little, but now he can give all the kisses he wants!!

He loves all people, does well with other dogs, but not so well with cats because he wants to chase them all the time. He is housetrained, crate trained, up to date on all his shots, neutered, and on HW preventative.

Chance is a very, loving, and gentle dog that appreciates his second “Chance” and showers you with love every day. He is SUPER well behaved, and never gets into any trouble with his foster Mom.
