Sweet Aurora was brought into the rescue after being found as a stray. Besides having puppies at some point and being completely emaciated (only 34 lbs!), she also had a massive internal infection, and heartworms. Despite the neglect she obviously went through, and the months of medical treatment, she is absolutely the sweetest pup and loves everyone she meets. She is now 52 lbs and we estimate she was born around the end of 2017. Aurora will need a home where there is another playful, energetic pup in the home that she can play with. She loves other dogs, big or small, and is fine with kitties too... she will snuggle up right next to them if they will let her. She is housetrained and is fine in her crate when her foster family is not home. She can be mischievous when left to her own devices so will need to probably be crated when no one is home. She could use a little obedience training and is scheduled to spend a week with a trainer (that can be re-scheduled at the adopter’s convenience). We believe Aurora is a Weimaraner/Lab mix....she has those huge ears and docked tail like a Weim, but the coloring and face of a Lab.
